In Germany, we would call this film a 'Skandalnudel' (scandal maker, literally scandal noodle) because the marketing is pure rage bait. I'm still wondering if this is the purpose of the film: to take an old text and adapt it for a world with social media. After all, we live in an age of outrage.

When I saw everyone getting sucked into the affair stuff, and companies posting clips to imply it, I did instinctively think it was a clever but risky strategy. I don’t think it was real, personally.
